Adapt Holds Roadshows to Generate CRM Awareness

By Anjali Choudhary
New Delhi, Jun 25, 2005

In a bid to generate brand equity for its products, CRM (customer relationship management) software vendor Adapt Software India has initiated customer-oriented activities across various locations.

Adapt India is the Indian chapter of US based Adapt Software Applications, which develops software exclusive to the small and medium enterprises The CRM solutions by Adapt chiefly target manufacturing and distribution businesses that involves maker and user interfaces.

Sanjeev Sharma, vice president, sales and marketing, said, "There has been a dearth of information on customer relation management software in India. The organized sector showed almost nil interest in the adoption of software that would string together all the four critical areas of operations viz. sales, marketing, services and contacts.

"Additionally, due to widespread misconceptions on CRM like high cost of implementation, sophisticated infrastructure involvement and lack of success stories contribute to the lower acceptance of CRM software in India. Our efforts for India market are mainly focused to rouse awareness on CRM among the prospective customer segments."

To achieve its objective, Adapt is holding seminars and roadshows at various places where different manufacturing clusters are situated like Punjab, which is the main hub for the woolen industry, and southern states for silk manufacturing. The vendor calls in CEOs of enterprises to share with them the benefits of using CRM and how they can speed up their processes with CRM.

Detailing about its seminars, Sharma said, "Our seminars mainly address the top management people and the IT community of organizations who are the ultimate IT decision-makers. We interact with these people to know about their CRM needs so that we can create vertical-specific solutions."

What do you think of Adapt's awareness program?
